Strength in People
Fortis' strength comes from the dedication and hard work of our people. We remain committed to attracting, retaining, and developing the best talent while fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace.

Talent and Collaboration
The Fortis Leadership Lab prepares emerging leaders for successful long-term careers in the energy sector while promoting collaboration across the group of companies. Graduates from the program are empowered to turn ideas into action. Tom Krauklis from Newfoundland Power and Mike McKeehan from Central Hudson, both members of the 2024 class, played a key role in establishing an Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence at Fortis. This advisory group will lead AI development and implementation at Fortis to promote sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Women Lead Here
In June, executives and emerging leaders from Fortis companies gathered for the 2024 Women in Executive Leadership event. The gathering promotes the growth and development of women across Fortis. For the fifth consecutive year, Fortis was recognized by The Globe and Mail Report on Business Magazine in its “Women Lead Here” list, which highlights leaders in executive diversity in corporate Canada.
Empowering Communities
Giving back to the places we proudly serve has always been a core value at Fortis. In 2024, we contributed approximately $15 million dollars and thousands of volunteer hours to community causes. In addition to financial support, Fortis is committed to meaningful community partnerships, including collaborations with Indigenous communities.
FortisTCI Shares Stories of Hope and Triumph
Throughout 2024, FortisTCI worked to promote inclusion in the community by highlighting stories of hope and triumph from individuals with special needs in the Turks and Caicos. One inspiring example is Jermaine Williams Jr., a remarkable 16-year-old, who exemplifies the strength, curiosity, and brilliance of neurodiversity.
